Your Employment Matters

SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRAINING

Employers with 50 or more employees are required to regularly (every two years) provide a minimum of two hours of sexual harassment and workplace harassment training for supervisors.  Initial sexual harassment and workplace harassment training must take place within the first six months of employment.

Supervisor sexual harassment and workplace harassment training must include specific examples of conduct that constitutes harassment.  The training must also include information about how to prevent harassment, discrimination and retaliation in the workplace.

Recently, California has expanded employer training requirements to include "abusive" conduct in the workplace.  Also, the law has been updated to include mandatory diversity training on gender identity and gender expression issues, as part of any sexual harassment prevention training program.

Kroop Labor Law's managing attorney, Marc G. Kroop, has successfully mediated, litigated, tried or appealed more than 100 cases involving sexual harassment or workplace harassment.  Mr. Kroop  has a unique perspective as a result of his experiences representing employers and employees during the course of his legal career.

Mr. Kroop's invaluable insight gained working with both employers and employees is the information your supervisors require in order to prevent claims of sexual harassment or workplace harassment

Mr. Kroop will train your company's supervisors on proper documentation and investigative techniques in the event of a sexual harassment or workplace harassment claim.  Finally, Mr. Kroop's sexual harassment and workplace harassment training seminar will empower your supervisors to take decisive actions that are designed to prevent any future sexual harassment or workplace harassment claims from occurring.

For Bay Area employers that are required to provide sexual harassment training or provide it on a voluntary basis, Mr. Kroop's two hour sexual harassment training seminar is both informative and transformational.  Mr. Kroop's training will provide your managers with an in-depth understanding about how and why sexual harassment and workplace harassment claims are brought by employees.  Mr. Kroop will instruct your company's managers on how to conduct a proper investigation as well as the appropriate steps for a manager to take ensure that sexual harassment and other forms of workplace harassment are prevented and eliminated.

For employers, gaining insight into the cause of workplace harassment claims is the first step to empowering your managers to take swift and immediate action to prevent ongoing claims. The resources required to investigate or defend a sexual harassment or workplace harassment claim are resources that would be far better spent on expanding your business, rather than defending your business.
